A string curtain for a doorway, 100 cm wide and 280 cm tall, in a heavyweight 590 g polyester. The weight is the point: light string curtains drift and tangle, and this one hangs straight.
The top is a slot pocket, so it slides onto a tension rod, a pole or a wire. Rods are not included, because most people are hanging it on something they already have.
Cut it to the height and width you want with scissors. Doorways are rarely 280 cm, so expect to trim.
It works as a fly curtain, as a room divider, or as a way to close off a doorway that has no door without shutting off the air.
Made from eco-friendly polyester fibre that gives off nothing harmful in sunlight.

You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order without giving a reason, under regulation 20 of S.I. No. 484 of 2013, which implements the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back, and you pay the cost of returning them.
A screen cut to your own measurements is made to your specification, so regulation 13(1)(c) removes the cancellation right once we have started making it. A standard size you cut down yourself at home keeps the full right until you cut it.
If it arrives faulty, damaged or not as described we put it right at no cost to you, return postage included, under the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
Shake it out or wipe it down. If the strings tangle, run your fingers through them from the top and they fall straight again.

Some doorways never had a door and never needed one. An opening between a kitchen and a hallway, a back door propped open all summer, an archway that wants defining without closing. A string curtain handles all of those. You walk through it, it falls back, and the air keeps moving.
What separates a good one from a cheap one is weight. This curtain is 590 g of polyester at 15 strings to the inch. Thin string curtains drift in a draught, tangle around each other and end up looking like a bad wig. The extra weight makes it hang straight and settle quickly after someone walks through.
The top is a slot pocket rather than hooks or eyelets, so it slides onto a tension rod, a curtain pole or a length of wire. That keeps it flexible: you can hang it inside a door frame with a tension rod and never put a screw in the wall, which is worth knowing if you rent.
It cuts. Very few doorways are 280 cm tall, so trimming the length is normal rather than a compromise. Cut the strings straight across with sharp scissors and the ends stay put. You can narrow the width the same way.

What do our customers say?
Company-wide reviews published on Trustpilot. Every public rating is included.
Delivery was quick, installation was easy. The screen frames blended in well with the overall window frame. We are quite happy with the product overall.
Super fast delivery, product works as promised, magnets are strong and the adhesive plus Velcro system works like a charm on our metal frame bedroom door to outside balcony. So lovely to have it open on hot spring/summer evenings for a cross breeze without worrying about those pesky insects!
Have had one fitted to an off-grid cabin for many years, finally, it has a couple of holes. So I purchased the same again, easy to fit to existing Velcro, will keep those pests out hopefully for another couple of years.
These screens are really good quality, with a PVC top layer that snaps on, making them last much longer than the cheaper ones that just stick together with adhesive (which comes off quickly when you open the screen/window). Really happy with them, thanks
We purchased the Magnetic Flyscreen Door and found it to be superior to cheaper versions that we have tried. We had a slight issue with the product but the response from Customer Service was amazing. We recommed this product because it is stronger and closes better than other magnetic screens we've tried and it's easier to install.
The screens are of an excellent quality both in the materials and construction. The delivery time was within a week of ordering, great !
Im really impressed with the vinyl covering the magnets, they close so well. It looks as though they will clean easily if needed without taking them down.
I got white to allow best effect on the light entering my home.
Surprisingly easy to put up despite me being an older woman and not very tall - I’m delighted with my five screens. Counterintuitively I would recommend going for black screens unless you have a white outlook onto say a lighter coloured wall. Also pets negotiate them quite quickly - bug free indoors and a real sense of anti-mozzie security. Top marks
We ordered a magnetic door screen and couldn't be happier. The best feature is the self closing. This makes a world of difference for keeping the flies and mozzies out, particularly with children who don't close doors! It's a great non-permanent option for us and looks neat and tidy.
The screens for our motorhome were easy to order and I would say reasonably priced, once ordered they were on their way and arrived within 3 days of ordering which I reckon is pretty good.
They fitted the doorway perfectly, were very easy to install. They look good too.
I also ordered the bug tennis racket and it had had a good workout, that is probably a bit pricey but ordered to get the free delivery 🤣
How nice is it to actually be able to buy a simple screen for an opening the exact size that you require? Absolutely amazing that is what it is!Also for it to arrive in WA in record time. So much appreciated, from ordering to finish 5 stars well and truly deserved
As we live on the West Coast, South Island we have the dreaded sandflies by day and moths at night and screens for the windows were badly needed.
This was so easy to put together and we're really thrilled as you wouldn't even know it was there.
The very next day we ordered another one and can't wait to get that one up. Roll on summer.
User friendly website, good communication. The product was ordered and in a matter of 3 days I had received the goods. The instructions in the kitset were clear and good materials allowed for a very easy process and professional finish. Very impressed, thank you.

Choosing and hanging a string curtain door

What it is for
Some doorways never had a door and never needed one. The opening between a kitchen and a hallway.
A back door propped open all summer. An archway that wants defining without closing off.
A string curtain handles all of those. You walk through it, it falls back behind you, and the air
keeps moving. It's the least fussy way to put something across an opening.
Why the weight is the whole story
This curtain is 590 g of polyester woven at 15 strings to the inch, and that weight is the
difference between a good string curtain and a bad one.
Thin, light string curtains drift in any draught, wrap around each other and end up looking like
a bad wig within a fortnight. Heavier strings hang straight down, settle quickly after someone
walks through, and stay separated. It also feels better on the way past, which sounds like a small
thing until you use one every day.
Hanging it
The top is a slot pocket rather than hooks or eyelets, so it slides onto a rod, a pole or a length
of wire. Rods are not included, on the assumption you already have something or will pick a rod to
suit the opening.
For a doorway, a tension rod inside the frame is usually the answer. It needs no screws, so it
suits a rented flat, and it comes down as easily as it went up.
Cutting it to size
The curtain is 280 cm tall as supplied, and very few doorways are. Trimming is normal rather than
a compromise.
Hang it first, then cut. Mark where you want the hem, take it down, and cut the strings straight
across with sharp scissors. The weave holds the cut ends, so there is no hemming to do. You can
narrow the width the same way by cutting strings off the side.
For an opening wider than 100 cm, hang two curtains on the same rod with a few centimetres of
overlap in the middle. Any more overlap than that and the middle feels heavy to walk through.
String or chain
Both do the same job in different registers. The chain curtain is aluminium, much heavier, and
settles almost instantly in a doorway with constant traffic, which is why they turn up in cafes
and commercial kitchens. It also costs a good deal more.
The string curtain is softer, effectively silent, and far cheaper. In a house, that is usually the
better trade.
Looking after it
Shake it out when it needs it, or wipe it down. If it needs a proper wash, take it off the rod,
hand wash it gently and hang it back up wet so the strings dry straight. Do not wring it, or you
will spend an evening untangling it.

Measures 100 cm wide by 280 cm tall, weighs 590 g, woven at 15 strings per inch from 100% eco-friendly polyester fibre that produces no harmful substances in sunlight. The heavier weight makes it hang straighter and tangle less than lightweight string curtains. The top is a rod pocket suitable for all kinds of rods, poles or wire; rods are NOT included.
